Love on common People by Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran

"... And the common people heard Him gladly" (Mark 12:37). The Bible says that the common people gladly heard what Jesus told them. Yes, He never shunned anyone. He loved everyone; He accepted everyone. Four people carried a paralytic man to Jesus Christ. He saw the faith of these four people and healed him saying, "Son, your sins are forgiven". The Lord Jesus could understand that his sickness was because of his evil life. Yet, He never called him ‘Sinner’  rather He called him 'my son’. Another woman also came to Jesus. She had issue of blood for 12 years. She touched the garment of Jesus and she was healed. The Lord Jesus said to her, `My daughter, your faith has made you whole, go in peace”.

Dear brother and sister! The world may call you a sinner. People may reject you because of your sickness or infirmities. They may desert you. Cheer up! The Lord Jesus loves you. He will forgive your sins, on this new day you which you have chosen to seek His word. He will call you with love as ‘My son/ My daughter’. He will heal your diseases.
Once, I had gone to a town called Kothagudem, in Andhra Pradesh to conduct Good News meetings. Nearly 150,000 people from all over the place had gathered there. I finished my preaching and the presence of God came upon me. When I was filled with the love and compassion of the Lord Jesus, I became different and said, ‘There is a young man in this crowd, who is a drunkard. Because of excess drinking, your liver is completely damaged”. I did not want to mention his name since thousands were there. But I said these words, pointing my finger at his direction. But the Lord Jesus wanted me to mention his name so I called out "Benjamin, repent tonight! Even now you are fully drunk”. When people came up to give testimony Benjamin was there. Jesus forgave his sin, and within a split second Jesus healed his liver.

Dearly beloved, even today, He is full of love for you to forgive your sins and heal you. This is because He has loved you and has given Himself up to die on the cross just for you. This Lord, who died for your sake, loves you. When He was hanging on the cross, the Roman soldiers were watching Him. One of them pierced His heart with a spear and immediately blood and water came out (John 19:34). He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth. The love of the Lord Jesus, who shed the last drop of His blood, is never changing. It is eternal. He will forgive your sins on this new day, with His eternal love. He will heal your sicknesses and He will keep you as a blessing to others.

Prayer:
How great is your love, Lord Jesus! Though we are unworthy of your love by the sins we commit, you have called us your children. We thank you for the salvation we have received through the finished work on the cross.
We commit ourselves into your mighty hands.
Amen!

The Blessing of the Lord! by Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

Dear Friend!

When God desires to bless you, can anyone dare to stand against you? The Bible says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” God alone can bless us in this unique manner. God told Moses, “When Aaron and his children bless My people saying, ‘The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace’, I will bless them accordingly” (Numbers 6:24-27).

The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.

A couple lived in poverty with their five children. One day, one of their children had gone to a shop. The shopkeeper blamed him falsely for theft, just because he was poor. The boy came home crying bitterly. This incident hurt the mother’s heart greatly. After everyone had left the house, she went into the room with her 5-year-old child, opened the valve of the gas cylinder, laid herself on the bed embracing her child and awaited death. Her little child bombarded her with many questions. As she quieted the child, a song came through a radio in the next room with the lyrics, “What a friend we have in Jesus…” The love of Jesus that rose from the song instilled fresh hope in her heart. She got up from the bed, went straight to the place where the radio was playing and said, “Lord Jesus, please forgive all my sins. Remove all our burdens and travails. Please save our family.” She wept bitterly. The Lord Jesus consoled her and restored all the lost blessings, one after the other to this dear family.

Beloved, the name of Jesus brings hope to the hopeless. The Lord who blessed this couple will surely bless you. As you are a child of God, God loves to bless you. Do not be disheartened. “The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel.” (Psalm 115:12). In your inadequacies, seek God. He will fill you with His blessing.

Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I thank You for You love to bless me. I feel so blessed. I bring my needs before You. Lord, remove every inadequacy from my life. Help me to have a prosperous life so that I will be a blessing to others. May it bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.

CONFESSING OUR SINS by Nerida

'I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the Lord." And you forgave me!' Psalm 32:5 NLT

When you deliberately sin, you're rebelling against God's rule in your life - and you'll feel bad about it. And feeling bad is evidence that you truly are a redeemed child of God; otherwise your sin wouldn't bother you. Picture a teenager saying to his dad, 'I'm truly sorry, but I took your credit card and bought beer for my buddies with it.' Now, the chances are his father may never have discovered it, especially if he wasn't a good bookkeeper. But his son's troubled conscience brought it to the surface and he said, 'Dad, I shouldn't have bought the beer; I shouldn't have lied about my age; I shouldn't have used your credit card to do it. You trusted me and I let you down. I'm sorry, and I won't do it again.' That's confession. That's what we must do in our prayers.

The Greek word translated as confession means 'to agree with God.' When we confess our sins, we are agreeing with God concerning the sin in our lives as revealed through his Word and by the Holy Spirit. When we confess, we verbalise our sin and receive cleansing and forgiveness. Yes, confession is often painful, but it keeps our fellowship with our heavenly Father clear, open and close. It's not that God stops loving us, but that we no longer feel we can approach him with confidence.

Do you have a sin to confess? 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness' (1 John 1:9 NKJV).

Passing the fear test

'God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid.' Isaiah 12:2 NKJV

How much of a factor is fear in your life? Go ahead, take the fear test. Circle the number that best corresponds to how you feel. (1) I don't remember the last time I was really afraid. (2) I am afraid rarely, and only when I or someone close to me is in physical danger. (3) I am a little more fearful than I'd like to be. (4) Fear is a significant factor in my everyday life. I avoid anything risky or dangerous. (5) I'm afraid of many things on a daily basis, and it changes the way I live my life.

If you circled number one you're an unusual individual who doesn't experience normal fear. You may have to temper your actions with greater discernment and wisdom. If you circled number two, you have a healthy attitude toward fear and you've got a handle on it. You should try to encourage others who have a more difficult time with fear than you do. If you circled number three or four, you're in an excellent position to improve your life by changing your attitude. Begin by identifying the source of your fears, and determining to turn your fear into faith in God (See Romans 10:17). For each area of fear, figure out a positive opposite, and create a plan of action to cultivate that quality. Then focus on what you can control today.

If you circled number five, chances are fear is getting the better of you and you'll have a difficult time overcoming it on your own. So pray and reprogramme your mind with God's Word (see 1 Timothy 1:7). And don't be afraid to seek help from a trusted friend or counselor.

A New Language Message by Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

“Man does not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

Dearly beloved,
The word of God brings Life, redemption, salvation and it changes the life of every person for the good. We read in the Bible that Jesus is the Living Word. Yes, one word from the Lord changed Zacchaeus who was infringing the people with more tax and led a sinful life.

Zacchaeus was a tax collector who is clearly not the person people would like. He has already heard about Jesus as a healer, loving God and redeemer. So, when Jesus passed by that side, he climbed on a sycamore tree to see Him. Jesus saw him and said, “Zacchaeus, I want to come and stay in your house.” Everyone hated him and called him a sinner. But Jesus did not call him a sinner. Instead, He called him by his name. That melted his heart. He tasted the love of Jesus and his life was transformed. His attitude changed. Immediately he responded saying that he will give half of his goods to the poor and assured 4-fold restoration to those from whom he had confiscated goods by false accusation. “Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, ‘Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”’ (Luke 19:8). What a transformation in a jiffy!

The Word of God can truly change your life and revive you. You have received salvation through Jesus Christ. The words that you hear from the people of the earth could sometimes hurt you but every word that our Lord says will spring you up with life. You may be thinking that you are a failure in studies, business, and work or even in life itself. You might say that you are feeling dead and stale in life. No, my beloved, our Lord Jesus will pronounce over you His words that will revive your life and strengthen you. The Bible says, “Man does not live o bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Only when the word of God comes into you, you will be able to see the changes that occur around you. Everything including your language will change. You will start to bear fruits and flourish in life.

Jesus respected Zacchaeus. He did not despise him. The love and holiness in the words of Jesus convicted him of his sins immediately. Be careful of what you speak. Major changes in life do not come from the policies of government or aid from friends and relatives. Instead, it comes from the words that you choose to speak. Be filled with the power of Jesus and enter this day. Each word of yours can change the world.

Prayer:
Loving Father,
I regret for all wrong words that I have spoken till today. Please forgive me. Keep a guard over my mouth. I believe there is power in the words that I speak. Help me to speak words that will sanctify, build and encourage others. Let my tongue bring salvation and sanctification into others’ lives.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.

Your Enemies will be at Peace with you! by Samuel Dhinakaran

When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone's way, He causes their enemies to make peace with them. (Proverbs 16:7)

In Genesis 12:3 we read God’s promise to Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." Here, firstly we see that God promises Abraham that He will bless Him. Not only did God assure to bless Abraham but also assures him that He will curse those who curse him.

When God blesses you, you will turn out to be a blessing to others and that is exactly what God wanted Abraham to be. Abraham received God’s protection and so no curse could devour him. Yes, my dear Friends, God protects His children under His wings that when people curse, the curse cannot penetrate through the protection given by God.  The curse will bounce back to them. No weapon shall be able to touch them.
You are destined to receive blessings all the time being under the mighty wings of our Lord.  Only blessing and no curse any more. I would like to quote an interesting verse found in Proverbs 16:7 which says, "When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone's way, He causes their enemies to make peace with them." There will be no more enemies for the children of God. People may try to give you a hard time but they will fail miserably. They will have no chance to get any closer to you. After spending most of their time and energy, finally, they will say “I am not able to touch this family”. Eventually, they will come to know about our Lord and will receive Him in their heart.  They will become your friend. No arrow of the enemy will be able to touch you.

People of different beliefs visit the tomb of Abraham at Israel all through the year. One can find Arabs, Jews and Christians visiting that place. If you notice the Arabs, they consider Abraham as their father. The Jews too consider Abraham as their forefather. And Abraham is known to the Christians as their father of faith.  Jews and Arabs are at constant war with each other. However, when they visit the tomb of Abraham they are in unity with each other. That is the blessing that God placed in Abraham. Everyone loved Abraham. He is the father of their nation.

Today God will make everyone to love you. He will make you a father and a mother unto them. God is going to make every enemy of yours to go in peace with you. So don’t worry about your enemies anymore. Today we are only going to look up to God and we are going to ask God for a faithful heart and God will do the rest for us. We read in James 2:23 that “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called “God’s friend.”  We see that Abraham was a friend of God. God will place His blessing upon us in abundance; a special blessing my friend which is to be called a friend of God. It is a unique privilege. When we become a faithful person and live a life pleasing to God, God will call us as His friend. Today would you want to receive such blessing?  Ask God to make you a faithful person.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven,
I thank thee for your promises. Thank you for enabling me to inherit those promises just by believing in the finished work of Jesus Christ our Savior, on the cross. Thank you for calling me your friend. Help me to be faithful to you and your word.
I ask all this in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
Amen!

BE UNITED WITH THE LORD IN SPIRIT! (Late) Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

"a brother is born for adversity."    (Proverbs 17:17)
The DhinakaransDearly beloved,

Once, while Jesus was talking to the crowd, His mother and brothers stood outside, waiting to speak to Him. Jesus was informed about this for which He questioned them, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” He then, pointing to His disciples said, "whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” You and I are called by our Lord Jesus Christ as His brother and sister when we do the perfect will of the Father (Matthew 12:46-50).

The Joy of having a brother or sister is known only to those who have one. I am the only son for my parents and I never had the privilege of having such joy. When my wife delivered my daughter Angel, I was so happy for my son Paul, as he would enjoy having a sibling.

There lived two brothers in a family. These young boys enjoyed the companionship of each other. The elder brother was tormented by severe pain in his feet every day exactly at 6 pm. Unable to bear the excruciating pain he would go and knock his head on the wall and due to that would get hurt. The younger brother would run to him and hold him tight that he wouldn’t hurt himself. As days passed by, they noticed something peculiar, adding to their mystery. The younger brother developed severe pain in his hand at the exact time when the elder brother would suffer the pain in his feet. Look! The younger brother literally took the pain of his elder brother into his hands. The Bible Says "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity" (Proverbs 17:17).

When you come to our Lord Jesus Christ, you are united with His body; you are united with His bones; you are united with His flesh. That is why we read in Isaiah 53:9 that the Lord is afflicted every time when His children are afflicted. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says "But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” Dear children of God! Our spirit becomes united with the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Samuel 18: 1,3 says that Jonathan loved David as his own soul. Their souls were knit together. That is how our Lord Jesus Christ loves us. He unites us with His love. Hebrews 2:11 says "Jesus is not ashamed to call us as His brothers and sisters". Many times we deny Him and fall short of His expectations, still He looks at us and says, "He is my brother/she is my sister."

"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” (Proverbs 17:17)

So don’t be discouraged. Jesus will not leave you or forsake you. He will be with you and deliver you at times of your need.

Prayer:

Loving Heavenly father, Great is your faithfulness. Thank you for accepting me as your friend and as your brother/sister. Thank you for bearing our sins on the cross so that we are delivered and united with you in spirit. Continue to hold us in your mighty hands. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
